Our client, a leading Financial Services business is looking for an AP orientated Accounts Assistant to join their Finance Team. This lucrative role would suit someone who has broad finance experience and can work well in a small finance team and often work individually.
- Own and organise the monthly payment run process
- Provide clear and accurate advice to suppliers and colleagues on Accounts Payable policies and procedures.
- VAT returns completion and submission
- Bank reconciliations and cash management
- Reconcile supplier statements with internal system records, identifying and resolving issues where possible or escalating as appropriate.
- Experience of working in a similar role previously
- Ideally from a profession or financial services background
- A good well-rounded knowledge of the Accounts Payable process end to end
- Good Knowledge of MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge of financial controls.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, deliver to deadlines and prioritise workload.
- Willing to use their own initiative to come up with solutions.
