Job Description

We have an opportunity for a part-qualified (mid to late stage) or recently qualified accountant to join a major high street retailer as an FP&A Analyst in their head offices in London (Croydon).

Reporting in to the Head of FP&A, you will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting, as well as providing ad hoc support and analysis to your line manager and the Head of Finance. This role will entail coordinating month end processes, supporting Senior HR managers with cost control and payroll analysis.

Key tasks will include: budgeting and quarterly forecasting, challenging existing budgets, identifying risks and opportunities, developing models for compilation and analysis, business partnering, analysis of future projections, variance analysis, analysis of key cost drivers, month end commentary and building close relationships with key business functions.

This role is suited to either a newly qualified accountant or a part-qualified accountant who is at least halfway through their studies (CIMA / ACCA / ACA). The successful candidate will have an analytical mind set and excellent interpersonal skills. They will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will be skilled at business partnering and forming close relationships with senior stakeholders.
